Little Things Written by: Bobby Goldsboro
Originally performed by: Bobby Goldsboro Search for audio clips of this song

Little things that you do
Make me glad I'm in love with you
Little things that you say
Make me glad that I feel this way
The way you smile, the way you hold my hand
And when I'm down you always understand

You know I love those little things in my ear that you say
When there's no one near.
Little things that you do
Let me know that your love is true
When we walk you like to hold my hand
And when we talk you tell me I'm your man

You know I love those little things that I hear
The little things you whispered in my ear
I know there ain't nobody else like you.
No one could do the little things you do.

Little things that you do
Make me glad I'm in love with you
Little things that you say
Make me glad that I feel this way
When we walk you like to hold my hand
And when we talk you tell me I'm your man

You know I love those little things that I hear
The little things you whispered in my ear.
I know there ain't nobody else like you
No one could do the little things you do.

Mediocre, little more

By far my least favorite song on the CD, "Little Things" is a dull and uncharacteristically drab song. It didn't touch me in ANY way. The lyrics were mediocre, the performance was all but monotone, instrumentals were disappointing. Not worthy of being on the CD.

The Deception

My initial reaction, as I was driving home from the record store, was oh-oh, this sounds like kiddy filler crap around the only good song I'm likely to hear on this CD, "One Voice." That lasted until Billy got to "smi-iile" and did that little warble or vibrato thing he does, then I knew I was in the presence of greatness. Billy’s voice contrasts sharply with the heavy hitting rock drums at the onset. It suckers you in and sets you up. It allows you to think for the first twenty seconds that Billy is just another kid. Could that be any further from the truth?! The setup may or may not have been intentional, but in my case, was very effective. This sophisticated gag for the somewhat trained ear only works in the first track position. Very nice work! I give it a 4, losing one point for that early deception that messed with my head.

This song is definetly not my favorite on the CD, but I do think it's very cute. And Billy seems to really have some fun with it. -Isn't that what music is all about????

Cute

This is basically a very teenie-bopper pop song. Initially I bought the CD because of all the hype over "One Voice", and I expected all the songs to be generally along the same lines. Sadly enough, I don't think this song actually enables the listener to perceive the depth that Billy capable of.
This line clinched it for me though, I loved the way the lines ran into each other. Cute song.
"You know I love those little things that I hear...the little teensie whisper in my ear..."

very cool

I absolutely love this song! Perfect start up song for a wonderful album! It's just so fun and easy to listen to! It also fit his personality really well at the time... so I give this song a big two thumbs up!!

When I first listened to this song I thought it was a bit childish and too much of a '70s style. But after hearing it a second time I started to understand the song better and therefore, I started to like it. I especially like this part: "I know there ain't nobody else like you, No one could do the little things you do". Billy goes crazy with the second "DOOOOO"!!!!
