Making Real Sense of the Senses Poem by: Mattie Stepanek
Song Written by: Bruce Roberts

Our eyes are for looking at things
But they are also for crying
When we are very happy or very sad

Our ears are for listening
But so are our hearts
So are our hearts

Our noses are for smelling food
But also the wind and grass and
If we try very hard, butterflies

Our hands are for feeling
But also for hugging and touching
So gently, so gently

Our mouths and tongues are for tasting
But also for saying words like "I love you,"
And "Thank you, God for all these things."

At first, I really disliked this song. But after listening to it over and over, I realized the messege it was trying to express, I wont say what I think the messege is, it might be different for each person. Yet, if you dont like this song, listen to it a few more times and listen to it with your hearts and see if you feel the messege.....

Mismatched!

"Making Real Sense of the Senses" simply didn't make the grade. The lyrics are grating on the ears, and the melody threw me off. Suffice to say I was more than a little cynical when the line "our noses are for smelling food" came up. With such a imposing range, I'm sure Billy is capable of much better - this song is plainly too mellow for him.

Good song!

All things are created by God in nature, we should appreicated them all." To me, that is what is this song's about. Take nothing fcr granted. Good work, buddy!
