Powerful Meaning Here Posted by: youdontyouwont   Score: 5 Review posted: June 08th, 2003 @ 05:01 PM In this song, we learn firsthand that it's ALWAYS important to stop and think before we do or say something that may deeply affect a person's feelings. If we know something negative about a person, we are so much better off keeping it to ourselves. Like Emily Dickinson quoted, "A word is dead when it is said." This song should give us all something to think about the next time we are tempted to blurt something rude out.

We really need to be careful with what we say to one another. I can't say that we don't deserve it but we all need to learn to love one another. People are more beautiful and their hearts are so precious for that to happen. They just don't realize it. Mattie took the words right out of my mouth in this poem! Billy and Mattie did such a good job! If we're just going to treat each other like nothing, then all we're doing is making our heart heard. We're more hard towards ourselves, then others.

I raced home and popped it into my CD player and sat back and heard... this song! What a way to open the CD! I felt like I was listening to my own ideology in form of a song. It was like John Lennon's "Imagine". Some people listn to a song like this and think, 'Pft! How nice in theory but it could never work in the real world.' Little do they know that by putting a song like this one out there makes World Peace that much more tangible.
